Gauteng Province is the economic heart of South Africa, it generates 40% of GDP in South Africa.
Located in northeastern South Africa, the province of Gautend is enclosed by four other provinces, the Limpopo the north Mpumalanga in the East, the Free State in the South and the Northwest Province in the West.

Gauteng province in an area of 17010km², it is the smallest province of South Africa.
But it is also the most populated, 10,531,300 inhabitants, about 520 inhabitants / km².

The province is quite made up of black ethnic group (75%) and 18% white.
The main languages spoken are Zulu (21.5%), Afrikaans (14.4%) and Sesotho, English and Sepedi.

Gauteng's economy is mainly due to its gold mines and its financial and business centers.

Gauteng Province is the only province of South Africa entirely landlocked by other provinces.
