To reach the Kunene River Lodge by car you can drive through or via Ruacana to Swartbooisdrift Opuwa-Otjiveze (RD3700 and RD3701).
The road between Ruacana and Epupa is particularly bad and is only suitable for vehicles with a relatively high ground clearance.
