Brandberg Massif

The Brandberg is a granite mountain of volcanic origin (140 million years ago) located about thirty kilometers from Uis.
The Brandberg is the highest mountain in Namibia (2573 m) and contains an important site of rock engravings.
The best known of these paintings rupestrse is the White Lady White Lady or an estimated date to 16,000 years.
You can make hiking "guided" from 1:30 to 4 days.

Tsiseb Conservancy is located twenty miles west of Uis and south of the Brandberg Massif.
